Utility Installation
Plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC are factory-installed in your BAUSTADT Guest Home. On-site utility connections are made by connecting to the exterior access points of the home. To ensure everything is installed safely and correctly, we strongly recommend having a qualified professional contractor present during delivery and installation.
What is the final estimated cost of a BAUSTADT house?
The total cost of a BAUSTADT house includes the product price, shipping expenses, import duties, and any additional applicable fees.
House price: For detailed pricing and information on different BAUSTADT house models, please contact BAUSTADT directly to receive the latest price list.
Shipping cost: We offer two shipping options: full-house shipment in a 40FR container or partial shipment in a 40HQ container. Shipping costs vary significantly depending on the destination and logistics requirements.
The HS Code for BAUSTADT houses is 9406, which you can use to verify applicable duties with your local customs authority.
Do I need a permit to place this on my property?
Yes, in most cases, permits are required. We recommend consulting your local municipality or working with a licensed general contractor. A general contractor can assist not only with permits but also with foundation preparation and utility connections. It is important to confirm zoning regulations and building permit requirements for your specific location. Permit processes can range from simple and low-cost to more complex, depending on local regulations.
Access to the Delivery Area
The building is delivered using a heavy-duty truck, a long tilt-bed trailer, and a crane. The delivery route must provide a clear, straight access path at least 12 feet wide from a paved road. Since trailers cannot make sharp turns—similar to boat trailers or campers—it is critical to ensure there are no obstacles that cannot be maneuvered around, such as fences, trees, low branches, play structures, or underground septic systems.
Transit Damage
Each BAUSTADT Guest Home is thoroughly inspected before leaving warehouse. However, occasional transit-related damage may occur. Please inspect the building carefully before the installation team departs. If any damage is discovered, notify the delivery personnel immediately, document the issue with photos, and contact BAUSTADT as soon as possible.
